My Story

Here’s my story:

My journey began in Norfolk, VA, at a non-profit where I held my first office job in Membership.  Although my role seemed mundane compared to the excitement of Research and Development  or Communications/Media, I quickly realized that the backbone of a successful business is a strong admin/operations team.  I enjoyed providing support behind the scenes and welcomed being a crucial part of the team.

After several years in Property Management, starting a family, life changes and moving to Northern Virginia, I found myself immersed in the fast-paced world of Real Estate Operations.  Working for a top-producing team in Old Town Alexandria, I truly hit my stride.  I loved being the glue holding things together and embraced the daily challenges and opportunities.

 In my role, I managed team calendars, monitored email accounts, set up new tech and accounts, handled project management, hired and onboarded new team members, refined existing processes, implemented new ones, and took care of CRM management and client care.  Essentially, I did everything involved in growing a successful team and referral-based business.

I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the smartest people I know, who mentored and helped me grow professionally.  While I loved what I was doing, I often wondered what it would be like to have my own business.  In 2023, as the market shifted, I decided it was time to take the leap and start my own company.  I wanted to use my skills and knowledge to help small business owners thrive and grow.

At Verdant Virtual Solutions, I focus on freeing up small business owners so they can concentrate on what they do best – growing their business.  My mission is to provide organized and efficient support, allowing you to focus on the things you want and need to do.
